Laboratory Facilities

We proudly claim to have the latest flat panel digital cardiac cath lab in our hospital. The diagnostic department provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services including: General radiography (x-ray scans), scans for A&E, ultrasound scans, angiography (x-ray of blood vessels), interventional radiology (minimally invasive procedures e.g., to treat narrowed arteries), CT scanning (scans that show cross-sections of the body), MRI scanning (3D scans using magnetic and radio waves). The lab is equipped with fully automated auto analysers for analysing samples with a short turnaround time. Being a multidisciplinary lab, we can holistically monitor each patient throughout admission with Clinical Microbiology & Serology, Histopathology, Haematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology and coagulation aspects. We also boast of a blood storage centre which promises instantaneous and effective blood supply to trauma care.

Blood Bank

The Blood Bank is a place where blood will be stored in state-of-the-art facilities, as per the directives of the drug and cosmetics act, India.

It is a place where the blood products are stored and safety tests are performed so as to reduce the risks of transfusion. This has been started with the vision of providing safe blood and its components collected only from voluntary blood donors using latest technologies. Its aim is to provide the invaluable blood to the patients by organizing voluntary blood donation camps at our educational institutions.

We are facilitated with apheresis procedures to collect blood components to treat patients for further treatment.

Chemist shop at Vivekanandha Medical care Hospital (VMCH) is conveniently located within the hospital premises on the ground floor.

All your medicine needs are taken care at our day and night chemist shop. Right from the rare drugs to surgical materials, this chemist shop stocks them all.
Stringent quality control ensures that medicines at our chemist shop are completely updated and are of the highest quality.

The pharmacy at (VMCH) is responsible for dispensing medications for all inpatients. The department comprises of pharmacists as well as technical and support personnel who work together to assure that patients receive the right and highest quality of pharmaceutical care round the clock.

The pharmacy is well stacked with major and rare drugs as well as surgical materials. Our quality control process ensures that the drug is safe and effective. The stocking of drugs is managed efficiently to ensure there is no stock-out any time. Since we house most of the major drugs necessary in the medical treatment, the patients and their relatives have easy accessibility to the required drugs all the time.
